i like the feeling of tiredness sometimes. muscle ache, heart ache, stomach ache, head ache, mental/spiritual/emotional/physical ache. it feels satisfying. i think i'm a better, nicer guy when i'm tired -- i talk less. not that i'm not nice when i talk.. well the bottom line is that when u work it out n get tired, it's a sense of achievement, it's a sense of joy. It's a sense that life isn't just about fun, u still get tired when u have fun. (okay, u didn't need to understand that.)

so whenever u're tired or weary, just rmb, it's actually a good feeling i enjoy, n u can enjoy it too.=)

$50, from 10am to 5pm

money just pay when we go there. if u wanna be a member of the place(it's a bouldering gym) bring another $20. and bring lunch money too. further details to come.

here are the available dates for level 1 rock climbing.
29 april(this sun!!), 6 may(sun), 12 may(sat, in school), 13 may(sun).
the course will be roughly from 10am to 5pm. maybe earlier depending on how pro you are. xD

there'll be a relay coming round, so keep those phones nearby!
and please reply ASAP either air chief what dates you can make it on. then we'll assign you to whichever date.
and everyone pays only $50!!! steady ah.

Congrats on finishing the Welcome PT!!
I know it might have been tough, but HECK. We pulled through in the end! (ain't we good. LOL)

Updates on kayaking course (;

ok. we can book the changi one!!! but must choose dates den they arrange for us.

i'm thinking the week ends during mid may.comments? Its better to be during the weekends as it'd be easier for them to org. how bout 13, 19 20?

the cost would be $50 bucks for members. those who aren't can just pay either:
1. Pay $65 bucks for the course and end of story
2. Sign up for the PASSION CARD(some new scheme: $38 bucks for 3yrs) and get an even lower rate (lower than $50).But you'll end up paying more than $65 bucks eventually.

The passion card is like the new form of the SSC membership card. There are things like link pts and stuff like that.And this card is in conjuction with the CCs and stuff. not exactly sure of the details. being a member allows you to pay for the courses at a lower rate and allows u to rent stuff. Den the course rates will be lower than that of SSC members. ya. So SSC members, if you wanna sign up for this u can!! ya. if not, everything remains the same. the rates that SSC members pay remains the same. the rental payment also is the same.

ok. any objections for the 2 star course dates can comment (: i'd be calling the ppl nxt week as their office is "a bit messy" right now.

YO 24th!

hahaha yes alex im gonna blog.past 2 days were so intense la.night cycling was cool (: i took all the random photos so they arent exactly nice.hahaha but ill send to the photog i/cs soon (:

but those ppl who took the nicenice ones at all the memorial places faster upload!! (:

meeting at the treehouse was quite funny.hahaha most of us were high.BAH!(no im not laughing calvin -.-) i dont laugh at bah anymore XD went to get our bikes at 9plus.then some ppl went to put their bags down at calvin's and the other stayed back to wait for jason[JEANETTE] and kaili. (: yup met ard 10+++ and officially started our night cycling ((: there was alot of pauses and breaks to close up gaps and stuff.then confusion on where to go,how to go,whether we should go.hahaha.i think driving next to the highway is fun (: anywayy.before we went for prata we went to random tourist attractions.and yeah,took photos.jason's bike got FLAT.and chains kept coming out.luckily there was sufiyan hahaha.

hmm we finally concentrated on going for prata.passed by arkar's house,my house,and many many traffic lights (: yeah finally reached.ate.then left again.the ride back was quite fast.and fun (: sky grew brighter and brighter.and ppl started getting drowsy.floaty feeling.hehe.

listened to songs and many many songs.shannon's sacrifice stuck in my head.anyway we caught a bit of sunrise and sat around eastcoast for a while.almost everyone went to climb the tree.jarren shannon and i just sat starting at them.arkar looked like a monkey.hahaha.yeah then returned our bikes and stoned ard,went to calvin's house aft that.slept.a bit.then we left.hahaha i reached home at..1?plus.slept from 130 to 230 and left to meet my friends.then met pegasus cheerleaders at wheelock.so i joined them for dinner.in the end,we ended up meeting vs 4A ppl at food republic wisma hahaha.COOL RIGHT.odacers rule the world.hahaha.yeah left and nearly died on the way back (of exhaustion).there's S45 jts later :/

hopefully june ot will be fun (: all lovely friends of odac better sign up for it.oh yea and all those ppl who have certain dates they cant go pls inform josiah or me asap!good luck for welcome pt(: ENJOY THE FUN COURSES.

2.2 Vision Statement and Motto
- Vision: To forge ties that bind while living the great outdoors and overcoming our fears, as ONE family.
- Motto: Redefining Adventure.

2.3 Miscellaneous
- Relay System: The details of the relay system and how it works are explained. This will be our new way for dissemination of information within the batch.
- Blog: The web address is http://redefiningadventure.blogspot.com. The username and passwords are also revealed to the PIs.
- 2^nd CCAs: PIs were asked to indicate their 2^nd CCAs
- Attendance issues: The attendance for B2B, OLC parts I & II and kayaking course are taken

3 Briefing by Quartermasters

- There is a need to standardise our tent-pitching skills to meet the requirements of ODAC instructors
- There will be a spring cleaning of the room and the ODAC store room in the mid-week of May
- QMs will then teach the proper usage and returning if equipment following the clean up
- Logistics book is used to loan equipment to instructors or outsiders. Signing in and out is required.
- All loans should go through the QMs since certain equipment require the teacher’s permission before it can be loaned.

4 Briefing by Land Chiefs

- A workshop will be conducted on orienteering skills on 11 April from about 3-4pm. It will cover skills such as usage or compass, taking bearings, pacing, hornet attack drills etc.
- Land chiefs of 23^rd batch will be organising an orienteering session in school also on 11 April from about 4-7pm.
- Land chiefs of 24^th batch will be organising a land expedition in East Coast Park on 28 April
- There will be a 12-hour long night-cycling held in May.

5 Briefing by Sea Chiefs

- All PIs who have yet to receive a 1 Star certification to go for the course on 5,6 April
- The Sea Chiefs hope to help all PIs achieve a 2 Star certification
- 2 Star Course may be on 19,20,26 May(Kallang), 13,20,27 May(Pasir Ris) or Changi

6 Briefing by Air Chiefs
- PIs are encouraged to take up Rock-climbing Level 1 on 25 May
- Volunteers are selected to help out on 10 April at the rock wall, and abseiling and zipline tower, where they can learn the correct operational procedures of these elements

7 Briefing by Pioneering Chiefs

- A workshop will be conducted on pioneering skills on 20 April from about 4.45pm. It will cover skills such as knots, lashings, etc.
- We will be building a gateway structure during June, and other structures during reunion and open house

8 Briefing by Overseas Trip I/Cs

- The main objective of the June OT is to bond our batch, and hence has to be a little tougher
- Besides that, ODAC is also trying to introduce outdoor activities to school (non-ODACers)
- 6- 8 days, preferably 1^st week
- Banner and T-shirts

2) Mt. Rinjani
3) Mt. Tahan
4) Thailand
5) Cambodia
- OT Chiefs will try to achieve a balance between tough and fun
- When more details are available, voting for budget, time period and venue will commence
- Fund-raising (if required) will be held on one free day of the week in June

9 Briefing by First-Aid I/Cs

- A workshop will be conducted on first-aid skills on 20 April from about 4.45pm. It will cover a revision of skills such as handling of injuries, transportation methods, etc.
- PIs are encouraged to participate in certified first aid course organised by St. John’s or Red Cross (Cost is $60)
- There will be a revision test after the workshop. Don’t worry there are retests available.

10 Briefing by Room I/Cs

- Duty Roster: To be put up and into place next week
- Room Calendar
- PIs are not allowed to enter by the back door
- Bags are to be placed neatly in the designated area
- PIs can write in the loggy, but must adhere by the rules stated it in
- Snapple Fund

11 Briefing by Physical Training I/Cs

- To enhance the physical and mental well-being of PIs
- Targets: 2.4 km timing (<10 min Males, <12 min Females), Top CCA for Cross Country 2008, NAPFA Gold
- Twice a week (Wednesdays 2.30pm, Friday 4.45 – official)
- First PT: 9 April, 4pm
- Welcome PT: 18 April, 3pm
- Training will be aimed at improving stamina and strengthening legs for OT
- There will be remedial PT for those who do not perform up to standard
- PIs are encouraged to self-train
- Captain’s Ball once a year
- There will be an informal night cycling on 5,6 April
