our spirits stayed high

though there were obstacles in our way

we pushed and motivated each other

and made sure no one was left behind

no one complained about the thorns or leeches

because company was what mattered more

about 26 hours

fell umpteen times

climbed till the sun no longer shone

perspirations

bleeding

sprains

scars

bites

mud

as a batch

conquered our first endeavour
